He is also an internationally recognized finance scholar, professor, consultant, author, and public speaker. He has been cited as one of the 1,000 most prolific Finance Scholars of the past half-century, and, according to Elsevier Science, he is one of the 15 most cited financial economists in China.

His expertise includes financial strategy, investments, portfolios, derivative securities, risk-management, and regulatory issues. He excels at analyzing capital markets, delivering insights, and developing investment strategies.

Dr. Kim has been a professor and held appointments at prestigious universities in the U.S. and China, was a senior financial economist at the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission, and consulted for other financial agencies and institutions.
